Youth Support

Our Youth Support program exists for youth 16 to 21 years of age.   The purpose is to provide support in many different areas for youth.   While the primarly assistance is around finding safe, permanent housing, this program offers supports with financial issues, family issues, school issues, and others.   Each youth is an individual so most of the services are provided one-on-one to fully meet the needs of the youth.

Youth Support provides assistance in the following areas.

  • Homelessness
  • Transportation to Emergency Housing
  • “Available Housing” Lists
  • Landlord Mediation
  • Family Mediation
  • Ongoing Support
  • Advocacy & Mentoring
  • Life Skills Training in a Group and one-on-one.
  • Referrals

Youth support caseworker can be reached through our Chatham office 519-354-1430 and helps youth in all of Chatham-Kent, meeting youth where they are.
